tips for class
 
-  try to leave two hours at least after eating before coming to a class.
-  wear comfortable clothing that leaves you free to move.
 
 
teaching style
 
My role is to guide you through a series of postures, breathing techniques and meditation using practical and precise instructions.  Essentially, I use the ‘Dynamic Yoga Teaching Method’ developed by Godfrey Devereux which focuses on:
-  synchronizing body movement with the breath
-  grounding the foundation (parts of the body in contact with the floor)
-  focusing on the breath
-  using the body’s natural spirals to bring alignment
-  keeping the core of the body relaxed
-  developing awareness of body, breath and mind.
 
The key is the unity of each individual's direct experience of what is happening.  The class atmosphere is relaxed and gives students space to develop at their own pace.  
 
There are many ‘styles’ of yoga, but whatever style you may have practiced the ‘Dynamic Yoga Teaching Method’ can build on what you have learned.
